Search does not require an account. Saved items, installation preference and privacy choice are stored locally in your browser. Hosting logs may contain the IP address, date, time, requested page, server response, browser and user agent. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
Purposes and legal bases
Operating and securing the service, preventing abuse and diagnosing errors rely on the publisher’s legitimate interest in providing a reliable website. Messages are processed to answer your request. Google Analytics 4 audience measurement relies exclusively on your prior consent.
Audience measurement
Outside guides containing an ad, Google Analytics 4 loads only after a positive choice. On an eligible guide with no stored Analytics choice, the tag may load in advanced consent mode with analytics_storage denied. TCF support passes the advertising choice made in the CMP to Google; no Analytics cookie is written without separate Analytics consent. Advertising personalisation and Google signals remain disabled for this measurement. Declining does not disable any site feature.
Advertising limited to guides
One Google AdSense unit may appear on selected indexable guides containing at least 400 words. No ad is integrated into the homepage, search, categories, part or model pages, or legal pages. On eligible guides, Google’s certified consent management platform presents advertising choices before any non-essential storage. Depending on your choice, Google Ireland Limited may process the IP address, technical data and cookies or identifiers to select, deliver, measure and secure the ad. Declining does not prevent access to the guide.
Retention
The privacy choice is stored for 180 days unless withdrawn earlier. Audience-measurement cookies are limited to thirteen months. GA4 event data is retained for fourteen months. Local saved items remain until removed in the browser. Technical logs and messages are retained only as long as needed for security, answering the request and applicable legal duties.
Recipients and transfers
Access is limited to the publisher, OVHcloud for hosting and, according to your choices, Google Ireland Limited for Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense. Choosing a merchant link opens Amazon or passes through Awin before opening the manufacturer’s website; those services then process the visit under their own policies. Approved product visuals are served locally by Filterence: no merchant price, script, tracking pixel or other remote merchant resource is loaded before that click. Google and the relevant services may involve entities outside the European Economic Area under their published transfer mechanisms and safeguards.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to certain processing and withdraw consent at any time by writing to contact@filterence.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL, at www.cnil.fr.
Manage your choice
Audience measurement can be changed through the Privacy preferences link in the footer. On a guide containing an ad, the separate message from Google’s certified consent management platform lets you accept, refuse or manage advertising purposes.
