When every warning icon flashes on a Philips 2200 or 3200, perform the documented reset and allow a full cooling period if needed.
Philips treats all warning icons flashing together as a reset condition. The official sequence checks the external water path and the pre-ground coffee compartment before power is restored: switch off and unplug, remove AquaClean, fill and firmly refit the tank, then inspect the pre-ground chute for a visible coffee blockage. After restarting, dispense two or three cups of hot water. If every icon continues to flash, the machine may be overheated; switch it off for 30 minutes and make only one further attempt. Persistent flashing after that cooling period requires Consumer Care.
Follow the checks in order and change only one condition at a time. Run a short rinse or test after each action, so the result identifies the cause instead of hiding it. The procedures below stay within the cleaning, refitting and user-menu operations described by the manufacturer.
Safety first
- Unplug before inspecting the pre-ground compartment. Use only the spoon-handle method described by Philips; never insert fingers, metal tools or liquid into the grinder or chute.
What the symptom may indicate
Checks in the right order
- Switch off, unplug and remove AquaClean
Switch the machine off, unplug it and remove the AquaClean filter from the water tank before continuing the reset.
- Fill the tank and clear the chute
Fill and firmly refit the tank. Open the pre-ground compartment and use only the end of the supplied coffee-spoon handle to loosen a visible coffee blockage.
- Restart and dispense hot water
Close the compartment, reconnect and switch on. Select hot water and dispense two or three cups into a heat-safe container.
- Allow a 30-minute cooling period
If all warning lights still flash, switch off for a full 30 minutes with ventilation clear, then restart once and observe the panel.
Stop and get qualified help when
- Contact Philips Consumer Care if every warning icon still flashes after the documented reset and one 30-minute cooling period. Stop immediately for burning smell, smoke, electrical tripping, uncontrolled heat or leakage.
Next step
Repair, replace a part, or arrange a diagnosis?
Use the checks and stop conditions above to choose the least costly safe next step. A symptom alone never proves that the appliance has failed.
Resolve it without buying anything
Complete the 4 safe checks in order. If normal operation returns and no warning sign remains, no replacement is indicated.
Replace only the confirmed part
If the checks isolate a worn or blocked component, match its complete reference to the exact appliance model before ordering.
This guide does not identify a replacement part. Do not order a generic component from the symptom alone.
Arrange a diagnosis before replacing the appliance
Stop at any warning sign listed above. A qualified diagnosis should confirm that repair is unsafe, unavailable or uneconomical before an appliance replacement is considered.
